The McDonald Family

We feel passionately about two things: health and hospitality. In an effort to increase the desire of the local community to pursue excellence in these two areas we have two businesses. The first focusing on the former- FitU (@fitu_main), the second focusing on the later- The Pumpkin People (@thepumpkinpeople_canfield). One key element to hosting is creating an inviting space people love to be. Not a perfect space, but a beautiful space. How a space is oriented can tell the world a lot about the people behind it. We want to help you orient the space on your porch to say to others, “come on in!” Being a good host means also being a good guest. We love to have people in our home to experience our normal, but we also love being hosted by other people. By experiencing time in another person's home you can learn about their family culture, history, and what makes their family unique.

On a personal note, the Lord has blessed us with 3 kids in under 3 years. We take what the Bible says to heart about children, that they are a heritage from the Lord (Psalm 127:3-5) and it is our responsibility to raise them up (Proverbs 22:6, Deuteronomy 6:4-7). Raising our kids is top priority for us. As for our history, we both grew up in Canfield. Jack graduated high school in 2010 (South Range) and I, Olivia, graduated in 2013 (Canfield). We started dating in 2010 and were married in 2015. In our free time we walk a lot, enjoy nice restaurants, and love to host people in our home.
